How each piece is made
Every piece starts as a ball of stoneware clay on the wheel. After throwing, pieces dry slowly, get trimmed and have handles pulled, then go through a first bisque firing. I glaze by hand and fire a second time to a high temperature so the surface is food safe and durable. Small variations in speckle and color are part of handmade work, not flaws.
